When Democrats stand w/ MAGA Republicans, even @grok calls them out. CU has a real issue with Black leadership, but loves Black athletes, go figure. @CUSystem@CUToddSaliman
Every day when I look at social media, I see @pweiser out here in these streets fighting for the people. If @coloradodems want fighters, then lets elected fighters! #EducationFirst
Public education is the gateway to opportunity for all. It opens the door for every child– regardless of their background– to learn, grow, and succeed. That’s why we’re in court challenging the Trump administration’s illegal cuts to our education system.
I was very proud today to present Rob Andrews for Aurora Council At-Large a maxed out check from my newly formed THE WARRIOR PAC! Rob is our first our first warrior and we are so proud to support him! Let’s change the face of Aurora Politics! #WarriorPAC

@ZachFOCO@DeepNotShallow@coloradodems@CUSystem Well you would be wrong again. Most of the folks who were working in DEI tended to be white women. And to be clear there are less than a handful, no where near 100 working in outreach. Perhaps you should do some basic research before posting.
@ZachFOCO@DeepNotShallow@coloradodems Given that the entire @CUSystem has zero Black Vice Presidents, No Black Chancellors & only 2 in CU’s history, I am just wondering what facts on hiring you think you know?
We must reject this vote and what it represents. We must defend the right to speak out, to challenge injustice, and to lead with principle. Our students, our communities, and our democracy deserve nothing less.
If you care about CU. If you believe in racial justice. If you want students to have Regents who fight for them, not punish them. Then step up. We need leadership rooted in values, not appeasement. This moment is a test.
Without corrective action or further explanation, it would not surprise me if they face electoral challenges in the future. Denver and CD1 deserve representation on the Regents and grassroots Democrats should consider their options to rectify this.
And I say this as someone who has supported Elliot Hood and Ilana Spiegel in the past. I reached out privately to them to express my concerns before speaking out publicly. I disagree with their reasoning and I’ve implored them to change their position.
Regardless of political leanings, Regents must retain the right to speak freely. I strongly oppose many Republican Regents’ views, but I firmly support their right to express them. However, with this new precedent, Regents can only speak about whatever the majority allows.
