@abraham_jmb Very true. Any take on Harvey vs Legora? Legora seems to be more shamelessly copying Claude stuff (similar stuff in the pipeline) while Harvey seems more ambitious but very fluffy (at least to me) with the direction.
@abraham_jmb Fair points. Do you think any of Harvey or Legora has an edge over the other, like one will survive and the other won’t (if any)? Seems like they’re both marketing change management services heavily. Makes sense if they can’t compete on actual product.
@lefthanddraft@7384254b You think Harvey, Legora etc will be able to provide extra value that justifies additional cost? I’ve been waiting for base models to add these types of integrations etc and looks like it’s starting to happen.
@zackbshapiro@Collateral_com Harvey and others provide value/convenience by integrations - collecting specialized features (like Word add-in, mass review etc) under the same “secure” umbrella. I agree there’s no point paying extra if base models replicate this, but when, how do you see this playing out?
@sean_a_mcclure I really liked your book. I understand the framing here but challenging to put into this context considering my (relatively) limited knowledge on LLMs/AI. Will you elaborate on this, or perhaps already have in any article or pod?
@rare_koko@matthew_pines So what’s the first principles case here in a nutshell? I find it incredibly hard to apply the “don’t trust - verify” on this topic. To me, it seems more like you must put your fate with people in the know (making vague statements).
@BloombergTV@nic_carter In the words of Aragorn to Théoden: ”Open war is upon you, whether you would risk it or not.”
As pointed out by @matthew_pines, Nic’s position means other sovereigns take the lead here - is that a good thing for the US?
As usual @mcuban is just smart enough to be dangerous.
He portrays "bitcoin maxis" as the "elite" villains and "crypto" as the font of possibility and potential for everyone.
NO!
Bitcoin is neutral money, for everyone.
"Crypto" is largely VCs dumping on retail.
I hate writing this, but we’re about to default on our mortgage and we have basically nothing. I’d love to sell more bookmarks and more squirely swords and some of the stuff I’ve already made
@sean_a_mcclure This is brilliant. Thank you. Besides being a student of the world (I assume), are there any particular persons that have informed your views here?
@sean_a_mcclure Good sir, will you please have a look at my posts on LLMs directed to you? I (and many others I’d imagine) would like to get your long-form view on LLMs too.
@sean_a_mcclure The way I see it, we understand the processes in LLms (even if we cannot “comprehend/feel” the process of that many dimensions as such). However, with the human mind, we do not even understand that much of the fundamental processes/architecture.
