@flynorse please can someone legitimate from Norse respond to me and not all these scammers. I’ve never seen an airline without a contact number before and that doesn’t respond to emails
@flynorse I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I have experienced and the lack of response to the emails I have been sending - can someone address this matter urgently and promptly. Thank you
@w2heck@AmericanQueen22@axhleighlouise You know it only cost that much when people have advanced gum disease? For the average clean it’s around £75. At the end of the day people can do what they want with their teeth and money I’m not personally fussed - just raising awareness of the risks involved
A woman on TikTok went to Turkey for dental implants. The dentist drilled too deep, puncturing her sinus. She developed nasal sores that turned into a flesh-eating infection. After months of being denied treatment, her nose has now completely collapsed.
@faavourr Those costs are high it usually around £250-300 per tooth. But again for many I understand that’s still expensive but cosmetic treatment done well is never really cheap
@axhleighlouise@gregofallgregs So this is actually offered where I work at, to make it more manageable for people to pay without taking on extra costs. Every dental clinic is different
@mcdiesel88@mindofprospect There are other options rather than an implant crown btw. We don’t leave people to “suffer” and if the teeth had been taken proper care of in the first place they wouldn’t be in that situation (I understand every case is different and not all are down to intentional neglect)
@mindofprospect@AFCLee_ It all comes down to government funding with the NHS, the way the U.K. system is unfair. They want you guys to blame the Individual dentists like me and call us greedy for trying our best rather than point a finger at them
@mindofprospect@Wands__ Def not shocked people are free to make their own decisions. Need to deal with the consequences. It’s some silly uk mentality that calls its greed though. They’re appropriately paid. Implant surgery is a crazy skillset.
@Wands__@mindofprospect Dental costs are completely appropriate for the years of training, skill/expertise, cost of materials which in this country is made to. These comments annoy me. People are cool with a plumbers making X why shouldn’t dentists & doctors make 2-3X per unit time. Let alone corporates
@Donna__McLean I agree with you it’s not an ideal situation but unfortunately NHS Dentistry is oversubscribed and the government is unwilling to increase the budget so more people can be seen. It’s worse in certain towns than others
@mindofprospect I completely understand your point and I’m not trying to be insensitive saying it’s not expensive because it is. If that’s the case then there are cheaper options for teeth replacement such as a denture or bridge
@axhleighlouise@12_ad08 If people would rather pay cheaper to shave their teeth down into pegs and have potential damaging risks then so be it. There’s nothing I can do about that. Just trying to explain from UK dentist perspective because everyone thinks we are “greedy scammers”
@12_ad08@axhleighlouise I do hope you know the costs of dental materials in the UK are double the price of that in turkey. I do hope you know the techniques we use here are completely different and safer for your teeth. That’s what you’re paying extra for.
@axhleighlouise However my point is that automatically people think that as dentists we are trying to “scam” no we are not. It’s about perceived value your teeth are an investment for life. Many would happily spend a similar amount on bags and cars
@axhleighlouise Its interest free finance so it wouldn’t make it more expensive. But I hear what you’re saying the costs are high, this is something I don’t have control over personally as I don’t own the practice.
