At Kasarani, PCEA Church, I joined the worshippers for Sunday Service and I am glad of the firmness of the Christian fraternity to leaving no one behind in the Christian faithful and especially being truthful and honest when it matters most.

It is incredible that blatant violence and noise, just like it did not stop Christ from saving mankind, Kenya will remain bold and march to greatness irrespective of intimidation and state sponsored thuggery even at holy places of worship.

After an uplifting service at Kasarani PCEA in Nairobi, I was treated to a sumptuous lunch at a Local joint in Maragua, Muranga County.

But what touched me the most was the great love I received from the local residents.

It has reminded me of the importance of community ties and the bonds we share. It is in these simple moments that we find the true essence of belonging.

It is with deep sadness that I have learnt of the passing away of Ann Wanjiru Mumbuchi, popularly known as Muchiru.

Muchiru wore many hats, a mother, a businesswoman, a mobilizer, and was fondly referred to as "Chairlady".

Muchiru was a natural leader. She is most remembered for steering the 1,000 Mathira Women Choir, which she led with passion and great commitment.

She was a political confidant and has been a permanent feature in community leadership and mobilisation since the 1980s; she has left a gap in development politics and leadership that remains unmatched.

Her energy and charisma will be missed by those who witnessed it firsthand and even those who remotely benefited from it.

My deepest sympathies to her immediate family, friends, and the people of Mathira. May the Soul of Muchiru rest in eternal peace.
