Atlético Madrid are absolutely right to draw the line. Julián Álvarez is under contract, and Barcelona don’t get to create a media storm around the player and then play the victim when Atlético refuse to sell.
This is bigger than €150m or €200m now — it’s about respect, sporting authority and the right of a club to decide the future of its own player.
