Back in July, myself and some WoW friends lost someone very dear to us, Avi. She was like a mother to us all, always checking in on us to make sure we were doing ok, and do whatever she could to support us.

We miss her daily, and to honor her, I wanted to do something special.

@LegalEagle I know this is outside your norm, but in the interest in spreading awareness I'm posting this as something of a Hail Mary. There's a project you may/may not have heard of: https://t.co/HqrLV0yIdg - it's an effort to stop the destruction of games by publishers.

It's lead by someone who is, by all accounts, an amateur in all regards. But it would be amazing for awareness if this project was reviewed by someone with your reach. Caveat: it's mostly (almost exclusively) going to be outside the US, so maybe not your specialty.

Mental health matters. If you have the bandwidth to listen to a friend thats having a bad time reach out to them. A hello and heartfelt check-in can do more good than you might think.

D&D is free.

The Basic Rules are not watered down or selling you short. The Basic Rules are fifth edition D&D and they’re free. You could run a multi-year campaign without buying one single thing. Go do that.

The only apology I see is an older tweet where he was rightly apologizing about insufficient moderation in stream chat, which is his responsibility to manage.

@NikTekOfficial In order for a critic's rating to mean anything to me, I'd have to relate heavily with that critic. As most of these scores are faceless, they're also meaningless. Arbitrary numbers. They've been useless to me for years. A single friend's opinion is far more useful.

@JordanSorcery Hyperbole aside, the why is easy: Hasbro love shooting themselves in the foot. And then firing 20% of their staff arbitrarily because their execs learned nothing.

I enjoyed the movie, which almost definitely would have done better had the greed gremlins been kept in line.

@ShirrakoGaming I'll gladly pay more for a game if it keeps the PC market from trending the way it has been, IE games as a service, or even worse, trying to capture the success of the mobile gaming market. They have to make money to make games, and I prefer non-predatory business practices.

@Cymatics13 I dropped my current campaign over by Skalnaedyr (my players just recently got to the city) in a homebrew city near Brightstar Lake. They've visited Dracowyr as guests. They've spent time in the raudin desert. They might even go to Kara Tur later. I, too, was tired of that coast.
