Two years ago, Hind Rajab was murdered by the illegal Israeli occupation.
Today, more than a thousand people stood in the sand in Barcelona holding her image. This act wasn’t only for Hind, but for every child in Gaza whose life has been taken in this genocide.
Her mother, Wesam Hamada, spoke with a clarity and strength no parent should ever be forced to summon.
Hind represents one life,
and also the thousands who never got the chance to grow up.
We held her image to refuse erasure.
We gathered to refuse silence.
We remembered because remembrance is the beginning of accountability.
She is not forgotten.
And neither are they.

“Our prisoners’ hunger strike will be remembered as a defining act of unflinching resistance.”
The brave hunger strikers victory today shows us what people can achieve when they unite for a common cause. But let’s be absolutely clear: it should never have come to this. These hunger strikers were driven to the brink of death by unacceptable government neglect and still have a long way to go before they’re healthy again.
Their other key demands for basic rights have yet to be met: immediate bail, the right to a fair trial and the de-proscription of Palestine Action.
Context: In December 2020, Morocco agreed to normalize relations with Israel as part of the Abraham Accords framework, in exchange for the United States formally recognizing Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara.
Today, Berlin-based activist, organizer, and fellow Global Sumud Flotilla participant Kübra Cinar and myself observed a court hearing for a Pro Palestine activist on trial.
After multiple failed attempts to criminalize the popular slogan “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free”, the Berlin justice system is turning to full fledged fascism.
Normally, using the slogan is prosecuted under the
“use of unconstitutional symbols” and would be handled by a local court. This time, the state is accusing the person of „distribution of propaganda material of unconstitutional and terrorist organisations”.
This accusation means that the case is handled at the state’s higher court. In other words, by linking the slogan to a charge of terrorist propaganda, the state was able to escalate these proceedings and overstep the local courts.
What does this mean? Unlike in normal court cases where an appeal means the re-examination of the case, the appeal in this case will lead immediately to the highest court in the country - the federal court. The state is using the opportunity to go after the popular slogan, so any negative decision can and will be used for all other cases of criminalising “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free”.
Follow Palestine on Trial for more information and updates on this and other cases.
In under a week, Israel violated the ceasefire with Gaza 47 times. Of course these violations rarely made headlines.
But now, our very complicit mainstream media is already spinning up headlines to try to claim Hamas committed a “bold violation of the ceasefire agreement” so they can continue mass murdering Palestinians in peace & Trump can build his Gaza riviera.
It’s time to seriously escalate.
Never forget & never forgive all MSM outlets who, for 2 years straight, manufactured and keep manufacturing consent for the ongoing slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
For systematically framing genocide as a „war“ to erase Palestinian suffering and legitimize Israeli war crimes.
History will remember every single editor & stenographer who directly contributed to Israel‘s campaign of ethnic cleansing. You will be held to account for your crimes & humanity will further refuse to let you erase genocide.
On what happened in Ketziot prison in the Negev desert, a maximum security prison we were brought to after Israel illegally abducted us in international waters. Ketziot is one of the most prominent detention centers where hundreds of crimes and violations against Palestinian detainees have been documented.
According to recent reports, Ketziot houses thousands of Palestinian detainees from Gaza, including detainee Thaer Abu Asab, who died as a result of severe beatings and torture at the hands of repression units.
@21WIRE
Speaking to @21WIRE yesterday, we discussed Trumps so called „peace plan“, and how mere hours after the first phase of the ceasefire was agreed upon, live video of Israeli tanks firing at Palestinian civilians attempting to return to Gaza City was captured.
This is not a ceasefire deal, this is a colonial expansion deal.
Israel kidnapped us in international waters, threw our aid overboard, lied about our humanitarian mission, tortured us in Ketziot prison, 30km from Gaza. Israel withheld our medicine, pointed snipers at our heads repeatedly, kept our lawyers from us & so much more.
In the prison courtyard, a poster of bombed Gaza read „the new Gaza.” The abuse we endured could fill days of testimony, but this is not the story.
We are privileged to have made it home to our families, yet, over 10,000 Palestinians remain in administrative detention, and more than 600,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israel in this ongoing genocide, aided and abetted by western states.
All of this is only a glimpse of what Palestinians endure on a daily basis.
Gaza we’ll be back. Free Palestine 🇵🇸
First Launch Port Announced: Barcelona
The people of Barcelona have stood on the right side of history and with Palestine. Yet, weapons continue to flow from its ports to fuel Israel's genocide.
On August 31st, the first boats on the Global Sumud Flotilla will depart from Barcelona, carrying urgently needed medical supplies, nutritional aid, and a message of global solidarity to break Israel's illegal siege on Gaza.
We call on the people and government of Barcelona and Catalonia to protect and support this mission and to guard against bureaucratic sabotage.
#GlobalSumudFlotilla #FreePalestine #BarcelonaForGaza
Do you have maritime skills? There’s still time to join the crew of the Global Sumud Flotilla, on one of the dozens of boats sailing the Mediterranean in an effort to break Israel’s illegal siege on Gaza.
Visit our website (link in bio) to register for this historic mission. The deadline is August 16.
Ships will be launching from Spain on August 31 and Tunisia on September 4.
On August 4, the steering committee of the Global Sumud Flotilla held a press conference to announce a historic mission: dozens of flotillas organized from 44 countries around the world, filled with aid and headed to Gaza in an effort to break Israel's illegal siege.
Our leaders have failed us, and despite all the political theater, most governments have shown they have no desire to help the starving men, women, and children.
But we are not helpless. Ordinary people from all over the globe are stepping up to do what politicians refuse to do: to help end the starvation, end the genocide, and bring justice to the Palestinian people.
#sailtogaza #globalsumudflotilla #gazawearecoming
Palestinians are being ethnically cleansed, systematically starved, relentlessly bombed, and herded into concentration camps in the latest chapter of settler colonial terror - all while our Western governments, partners in this genocide, continue to bankroll, arm, and shield this slaughter.
We owe it to Palestine to continue resisting and organizing.
You’re invited to a screening of “The Present,” a film by @farah_nabulsi that captures the daily reality of life under occupation and the fight for freedom.
Following the screening, we’ll host a panel discussion with Saif Abukeshek, organizer of the Global Movement to Gaza and activist Hannah Claire Smith to discuss our next humanitarian mission and how we collectively move forward in solidarity and action.
Date: 18/07/2025
Time: 6pm CET
Place: Nn Cultural Café, Carrer de Valldonzella 52, Barcelona

🇹🇳 Happening now: Activists from the Global March to Gaza & Sumud Convoy mobilize in front of the US Embassy in Tunisia, calling for an end to the genocide in Palestine and condemning continued US complicity and support through billions in military aid to Israel.
.@FranceskAlbs has arrived in Tunisia for today’s packed press conference alongside the #GlobalMarchToGaza, #SumudConvoy and #MadleenFlotilla representatives and activists, stating: “I wish you to be safe on your journey because you are taking on a responsibility that should NOT be yours - the legal responsibility is of our states to break the siege, and because they are delaying and delaying, we are now taking on the responsibility ourselves.”
“We are not moving in a vacuum - we know what we are doing and why we are doing it: for justice, dignity and humanity. I commend those of you who are activists here, because you are the antibodies of healthy societies, so please continue doing what you are doing.”
“The Gaza humanitarian foundation is a criminal enterprise, and it’s ludicrous that a state accused of committing genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity is the one in charge of delivering aid. End the genocide, end the permanent occupation that Israel has maintained in the occupied territories and end the Apartheid.” @FranceskAlbs
