🚨 Breaking: “Where would you rank Jude Bellingham among the likes of Vitinha and Pedri when it comes to the best midfielder in the world?”
Thierry Henry: “Jude Bellingham isn’t in the same bracket as those two. He’s tiers above them. Jude Bellingham is in a league of his own.
Pedri and Vitinha have similar styles of play, mainly focused on controlling the tempo of the game. Jude does that too, but with even more quality to his game. Jude is a direct player, always focused on winning the match.
Jude is the kind of player who decides matches. He gives you every quality you could want from a footballer, except goalkeeping. It’s true he had a difficult club season, but now he’s reminding everyone who he really is.”
FT 2-0
3 games played, 2 wins and a draw aren't to be sniffed at but we've played well in one half ( second half v Croatia) of those matches.
It's a team game but individual brilliance unlocks doors and at the moment we're not seeing enough of individuals stepping up with moments of magic.
Kane and Bellingham today did for the important stuff but against a top team playing well there's enough evidence to suggest that defensively we could be extremely vulnerable to pace, skill and that "magic".
One 8/10 half in three games, the other five halves 5/10.
Must do better if we're serious about duking it out with those wearing favouritism lightly in the tournament so far.
To Atlanta, Georgia. Peaches and that.

Whatever people thought of the football, the record speaks for itself.
A democratically elected British Prime Minister has been driven from office by a relentless campaign of propaganda and misinformation; funded, amplified and perpetuated by foreign billionaires and elites whose interests bear zero resemblance to those of ordinary working people.
A noble gesture from an emotional Keir Starmer, entirely consistent with his conduct in office.
A truly sad day for British democracy.
His full resignation speech:
🚨 BREAKING: Keir Starmer gets emotional as he resigns as Prime Minister
"I shall spend more time on the most important job. Being the best husband I can to my fantastic wife Vic... and being best dad I can to my beautiful children, who have been my pride and joy"
Detail is okay but she's just irritating that bit at the end is so cringey! Yes most of us noticed you got the colours wrong - (and still left the GKs the wrong colour) - weird thing to say at the end
Oh she's changed it now, then pointed it out that she'd changed it, but still had the Haiti GK in blue - and the teams were facing the wrong way!
Comments & detail good though just being pedantic
Emma Hayes getting big praise but she just set Haiti (playing in White) in blue markers and Brasil (playing in Blue) in white markers and I can't unsee it 😂😂
Anyone noticed the lack of English flags out around the country for the World Cup?
It’s due to most people afraid that others will think they are racists supporting ReformUK. Our flag has been hijacked by the far right. A real shame.
What’s missing? No England flags on cars. One day before our first match little palpable excitement for the World Cup. Have we fallen out of love with football? Do we think we will be embarrassed? Are people scared to display national fervour? Are flags too expensive?
Pausa de hidratación a las 9:30pm en Boston a 24 grados. Infantino acabó con el fútbol. Es nuestro deber moral criticar esta estupidez hasta que la quiten.
My England v Croatia ticket was £199, chatting to some American guys at the moment and they think I must have won the ticket on some sort of poverty raffle because they can't wrap their head around how "cheap" it is.
One guy paid $1500 for the very last row, top of the stadium for a college game.
Surely this isn't supply and demand, it's saying "I can, you can't"?
And of we're not careful, coming to a Premier League ground near you....
England v Croatia not sold out. Secondary ticket sites offering tickets from $867 (£648) to $9,225 (£6,900) for ticket and meal package with access to VIP lounge. Still some hospitality tickets ranging from $2,430 to $3,150 on the Fifa website. #ENG
@david_price1@henrywinter Also should have had an assist be it from madueke's open net miss! Carried the ball well, all his dribbles successful!
Generally was very good. Not sure he was as good as winter is saying though
@david_price1@henrywinter Stats aren't everything but sometimes a good way to validate what you've seen - he gave the ball away just 3 times (passes) and 3 crosses which are naturally nowhere near as accurate, especially against CR who had every man in their box defending! Lost the ball once with a touch
Tommy Robinson fact-check:
Perpetrator = Indian Sikh.
Tommy’s rant = Pakistani gangs.
So either he’s stupid, or he’s lying to your face for clout.
Henry’s name deserved better than this fraud. 🚨
