Basketball start date approved as Jan. 4. Season will end in March, but exact dates will need to be worked out. There was no discussion and unanimous approval. All of this will depend on the COVID-19 situation improving some. And we'll all have to see what Gov. Beshear says today
Head spinning, but I think the proposal going forward for basketball would be Jan. 4 start date and shortened regular season that culminates with March state tournaments. There will be more discussion in regular session.

RIP, Wes Unseld. He helped Seneca win back-to-back Sweet 16 titles in 1963-64. As a senior he averaged 24.5 points & 22 rebounds. His high school coach Bob Mulcahy once said only Cliff Hagan could compare with Unseld as a Kentucky high school basketball talent. Unseld was 74.
