In the early hours of this morning OPU officers pursued a BMW 840 on the M6 at speeds over 150mph before being pursued through Coventry & the driver decamped in Bulkington where NPAS 🚁 located him hiding in a back garden of a nearby 🏠.
PD Serkan was deployed & quickly
In the early hours of Monday morning a call was received that a Ranger & a BMW had just been stolen in the Grendon area.
Both vehicles were sighted in convoy by C Shift OPU & B Shift response and pursued before the 2 stolen vehicles went in separate directions. The Ranger crashed a short time later & the occupant ran….
Dog unit arrived minutes later & PD Jinx was deployed & tracked from the vehicle a distance through houses, fields & dense undergrowth before locating the suspect hiding deep out of sight. Suspect arrested & taken to custody.
The BMW was then spotted by an ARV & a short time later found parked up abandoned. Unfortunately due to the time lapse despite the best efforts & extensive searches by NPAS, PD Kasper, PD Jinx & ARV crews the driver was not located. However both stolen vehicles were recovered & evidence and forensics will hopefully lead to a door knock soon.

On Friday morning a call was received in the Stratford area reporting concerns for a female in crisis who had gone missing in a rural area. Stratford Response officers attended but with the size of the area where the female was last seen preserved the track & requested a police dog.
PD Kasper was deployed to track & after a lengthy & extensive search located the seriously injured female in deep undergrowth.
C Shift ARV crews assisted with specialist first aid & the female was transferred to the care of paramedics & taken to hospital.

It is with a heavy heart we learn of the passing of RPD Orla who served Warwickshire with PC Heath.
RPD Orla 1/3/2010 - 7/7/2025
Orla fell ill on Thursday and sadly was unable to recover and went over the rainbow bridge being cuddled by her handler to whom she retired to in 2020. Orla served with West Mercia Police and Warwickshire Police for 9 years having a wonderful career the highlight of which was tracking down a murderer who she found hiding in bushes. Orla loved chasing stuff, if it ran she would chase it. She loved running with her crewmate PD Bruce and was the most loyal companion. She enjoyed 5 years of happy retirement and will be greatly missed. 😢

It is with a heavy heart we share the loss of serving PD Kuga 13/10/2017 - 18/03/2025
PD Kuga joined Warwickshire Dog Section in 2020 as a rehandle with PC Mark Heath who worked together as a successful team until Mark retired in 2021 & PD Kuga was re handled by Mark’s wife Lucy. Lucy & PD Kuga were an operational team until present day.
PD Kuga’s last operational track in Dec 2024 saw him tracking for over 45 mins on grass & hard surface through towns & parks resulting in him locating a high risk missing person with significant injuries & extensive blood loss. #LifeSaved
Unfortunately Kuga sustained an injury to his paw during the track which required veterinary treatment & rest. He didn’t seem to be getting better so further X-rays were taken which showed the paw had healed but revealed he had severe non treatable hip dysplasia & medication couldn’t keep him comfortable & pain free. On veterinary welfare advice PD Kuga went to sleep yesterday with Mark & Lucy by his side.
‘PD Kuga was a force to be reckoned with & you usually heard him before you saw him. Formidable and headstrong, he knew what he liked and if he didn’t like it he wasn’t doing it. He was brave, strong and loyal and with him by your side you knew everything was going to be ok.
Thank you for looking after me and Mark, even when you were in pain you never faltered. It was never meant to end like this, you were so loved, we are going to miss you so much’ 💔😔🌈🐾 #SleepSoftlyKuga #ThankYouForYourService
6/6 other colleagues at jobs.
Thank you for being you, for being the best, it was a privilege to be by your side until the end.
I will carry your paw prints in my heart forever’. ❤️💙💔🐾#workingdogs#myprotector#finalgoodbyes
1/6 It is with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of serving Police Dog PD Koko who suddenly took ill on Sunday evening.
PD Koko was the protective & loyal crewmate to PC Tash Susnik who together with PD Athos made up callsign OD30.
5/6 found numerous pieces of evidence that would have been missed & we had some great tracking results & arrests together…but you did also like to find me the postman or especially a hedgehog…🦔
You were actually the softest & sweetest girl ever and loved playing games with
After 13 weeks training PD Hades & PC Meachem have passed their operational licensing tests & will be keeping the streets of Warwickshire safe from Boxing Day. Thank you to Sgt Parkin from
