It’s a moral about systemic injustice blinding those who perpetuate it, typically these characters aren’t even major protagonists but rather simply allies.

@sailorsctaustin Miles story still is at its peak and still has momentum. While his heart is set he still has a long journey ahead.

Gwen’s story was given a satisfying conclusion with her making amends with her father and big finale monologue, while she’s still growing it it a complete arc.

He also teaches Miles how to use his powers and pushes him to get more information.

Aside from his backstory literally everything he did somehow guided the heroes forward.

He was also one of the only character that was was unconditionally supportive of Miles when nobody else was.

Incredible news out of Florida.

Florida's gender affirming care ban has been blocked in part. The decision is complex, but this should be enough to allow care to proceed soon.

This is the first (of many) wins against gender bans this year.

She has a protect trans kids flag in her bedroom and he wears a trans pin.

While she is likely bi as well, everything about her story this movie is incredibly trans coded.

Transitioning is framed as something radical that inherently goes against societal norms.

So, to see a “basic” trans person puts it into perspective that they’re just people living their lives.

While movies may constantly be advertised as a big event that doesn’t always need to be the intended goal for the studio.
