Yesterday at the Bills game I sat next to a 30 year-old woman from New York City.

I asked how she became a Bills fan.

When she was 8, she had cancer. She spent nearly a year at Children's Hospital of Buffalo, once Oishei, now Golisano. Bills kicker Rian Lindell visited her several times. She and her mom decided that if she lived, she would be a Bills fan for life.

She lived. And yesterday she was at the home opener of the new stadium.
