I just published "Everything is Ending" – a (kinda hopeful?) poem from Lock Down.

Good to be back after a long, busy break from Twitter. 😅
Hi #WritingCommunity — sorry for long silence. Been drowning in work. Just surfacing for a moment to say: I’ve begun thinking about a new poetry collection for next year. And back under I go... 😘 (P.S. Whale gif = appropriate — hard work seems to cause weight gain.)
@HomeAffairsSA, thank you for the awesome service at your Park Rynie branch. I visited last year and dreaded returning. Today I found the institution transformed: friendly staff; excellent service; reasonable wait. Wonderful. #grateful#Congrats
Sufficiently booked up that I’ll be working full time for the rest of 2019.
And wondering how all you people with actual jobs do it... When do you fit the naps in? #writingcommmunity
@Gibberish_1 Wasn’t aware there was a directive... Anyway, I don’t. Generally try to avoid obviously mind and mood altering substances — not good for me (to put it mildly).
It's probably shortsighted of me, but between meeting deadlines, working on a new collection, sustaining relationships, getting enough rest, *and* being present on social media, it's the latter I end up forgetting about. How do you handle this, #writingcommunity? 2/2
Thanks for all the recent follows, and sorry for my silence. This year is now completely booked up (which is great!) but I'm struggling a bit to balance priorities... My default setting is: prioritize the paid work and shortchange the rest (especially social media). 1/2
Up at 5am because I'm teaching today -- for the first time in *ages*... Wish me luck, #WritingCommunity! And may the gods of pedagogy keep me from slipping into bouts of tangential wittering.
Supposedly writing a poem, while my calendar says I should be doing background reading for an evaluation <yawn>. But what I'm *really* doing is lurking about on Twitter and Facebook.
How fascinating social media becomes at times like these. #amwriting sorta; #WritingCommunity
@KyleClimans A morning without coffee doesn't bear thinking about! (Full-blown addict here. But I only use in the morning. So it's not that bad. Maybe. Hmm.)
#WritingCommunity, does anyone ask you guys for poems (or other pieces) as gifts? It's mostly family in my case, and I don't mind the practice... I just tend to forget how long this stuff actually takes. Two cashless-commissions due by Tuesday! <Sigh.>
