The past five years have been a period of exploding costs for the electric utility industry––pushed by a soaring demand for electricity, supply chain challenges, materials shortages and increased labor costs. Last week, our billing system inadvertently sent out electronic past due notices on bills that were not past due. The issue has been corrected, and we apologize for any inconvenience. If you received one of these electronic notices and are concerned about your account status, you may visit SmartHub to review your account, or call us at 270-842-6541 between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm and we’ll be happy to check on it for you.

In the co-op world, Annual Meeting is a well-loved tradition at the heart of what it means to be a co-op, but sometimes we take it's significance for granted. The meeting, held each year in July, begins with a day long member appreciation event, offering snacks and buckets with bulbs. In the evening, members can tune in online for a business meeting to hear reports on the cooperative’s finances and programs. Because we're local, Annual Meeting day is a great opportunity to see friends and family as they come through the registration line. For us, it's one of the best days of the year.
