@Haunter1957 @stopskeletons Mostly because its 9 years later and a lot of rumors didn't mention an OLED until recently where there might be two version.
Wouldn't be the first time a successor has stronger hardware but a worse screen.
@stopskeletons The game is for Nintendo to win at this point. Suspecting a $400/$450 price point if its two models, but at least that has a generational leap, portable, and comes with a Cartridge (disk) slot.
@KayCSmooth @PSFanatic820 I had a PS1 as well, but otherwise same pattern. Genesis > Dreamcast > PS2. But for me, Xbox was more meaningful that generation, same for GameCube. My PS2 didn't do a whole lot of gaming.
@PSFanatic820 Some great franchises started on PS2 as well, but SO MANY PS1 franchises died or lost their way with the PS2 and never recovered or took years to come back.
@PSFanatic820 Playstation 2 was super popular, but that doesn't make it the best. Its real selling point was being a DVD player at the time, but in terms of gaming it was ok. Xbox had better graphics/online than the same game as PS2. Gamecube has MANY notable standouts.
