I was one of the lucky few who managed to escape. I made it to the forests around Warsaw & joined a partition group.

On april 19, 1943 the Germans returned to deport the rest of us. 750 fought until may 16th when the troops won

We fired at the Germans and managed to make them retreat. This victory gave us hope for our rebellion, but soon a larger war will come.
