I’m Warship14 — somehow both lucky and cursed. I play everything, laugh too much, and lose in the funniest ways possible.

@dizziedee Chrono trigger can stay and the others i could genuinenly care less about. I never played expedition 33 and dont plan too. And ff7 while i like the game i never got into it enough to where i would play it again for fun multiple times.
Yeah the only things games need eapecially old ones. Is good viable ports. Being able to enjoy old games on modern consoles with any degradation would allow for more people to enjoy a lot of classics. And would allow for players to be able to purchase legitimate copies of these games as well
The trick i found that worked best for me is to consider my stream as a youtube video recording but with potential guests. Makes it easier to not feel bad about the count being low, and also helps to get into the mindset of trying to make the stream marketable on other platforms like youtube and such
@Noctowlkyo This would be a tough question to answer if not for the fact you say its a dinner date.
Because it is a dinner date i would have to say Claire is probably my top pick.
Id imagine she would be able to appreciate a relaxing evening more than most other characters.
I think the problem is that BotW was a lot of people’s first Zelda game, so a lot of players were coming into it with no prior experience with Zelda or its puzzles at all. They had to figure out how to approach these kinds of puzzles from scratch.
Meanwhile, older fans had the opposite problem. They had years of experience with the older games and had gotten used to a specific way of approaching puzzles: get an item, then figure out how that item solves the dungeon’s puzzles. BotW broke away from that structure, so veterans had to unlearn those habits and expectations they had built up over the years.
So you had two very different groups experiencing the same game from completely different starting points. New players had no prior experience to draw from, while old players had to adjust to a gameplay philosophy that went against what they were accustomed to.
That puts BotW in a weird transitional point for the series, where the perceived difficulty of its puzzles became much more subjective.
The reality is that BotW’s puzzles aren't necessarily harder than the older games. The difference is that the circumstances surrounding how people approached them were completely different.
Yeah everyone knows the original still exists.
And to claim a remake should have a lot to distinguish itself, is a fine concept.
However when all they did to "remake" it is add 8 hours of cutscenes per every 2 minutes of gameplay. Shove useless side storys that you have to suffer through despite it having zero plot relevance. And making fan service mandatory as well. Additionally butchering an already well established plot and practically breaking the timeline. At that point its not so much a remake as it is some directors trying to use ff7 as a vessel to sell their crap story.
And fun fact it would still have been a "remake" rebuilding it for modern graphics and gameplay with a new egine would have to been done from scratch.
While a "remaster" only updates the old visuals and audio stuff while still using the old engine and code.
To claim it to be a "remaster" by it not having enough to "distinguish itself" is incorrect and quite frankly dumb logic.
@Stromgardes Yeah, the lack of both situational awarness and prepardeness is entirely on the player. One of the reasons i like hardcore it was literally gatekept by the comcept that it required actual game sense.
At the end of the day, it is just ignorant parents refusing to take responsibility for their children. Especially when most violent and frightening movies provide warnings.
In addition the "criticism /stipulation" that they are simply bringing their children and plopping them in a seat and or are being forced too, due to any number of outside factors. so the parents can watch these kinds of movies.
Is also a terrible logical fallacy for the parents. Because most, if not all, recent movies will eventually be available for retail purchase or streaming on various platforms.
So claiming that an outside element influences the decision is simply a "excuse" to justify the parents' poor behavior.
To put it bluntly
Its parents are simply incompetent and unconcerned. They would rather the world raise their children for them.
If a parent truly cared they would find more suitable alternative, make the time to watch it another day, or simply just deteremine the movie is not worth the watch. Especially if it potentially meant putting their childs mental and physichal well being at risk.
This is also related to issues with social media and technology usage. A lot of it is simply the lack of parents being prevelant in their kids lives in that regard. And using excuses of "privacy' or "trust' to justify them not wanting to put in the effort.
It takes a few minutes at most for a parent to be responsible. But sadly the modern parent simply does not want to use the few minutes of their time, to raise the children correctly.
The original statement has literally nothing to do with graphics. So opening with “SA1 is a bigger, prettier game than SM64” is already missing the point.
The comparison is their respective first major 3D titles, or simply, their 3D transition games.
And no, it’s not “deluded” to think SA1 handled that transition better. SM64 had the disadvantage of being the first of its kind. SA1 came later, took ideas established by SM64 and other early 3D games, and adapted them into an entirely unique Sonic experience.
It let players enjoy the tried-and-true Sonic formula with a 3D twist. That’s the point.
Also, comparing SA1 to Sunshine is weird. Sunshine is on the GameCube. SA1 is on the Dreamcast. If we’re comparing the same generation, it’s SA2 vs. Sunshine. Otherwise the “entire generation before” argument kinda defeats itself.
And calling someone “deluded” because they prefer one game’s transition to 3D over another is just really lame. Especially when your argument doesn’t even address what they were saying. Lmao.
The only thing sa1 did worse than mario 64 was collission. Yeah mario 64 had terrible collission but it wasnt as often where it would put you out of bounds. Or straight up just make you lose a life.
However outside of that sa1 has better over core gameplay and story as well as music.
I also thought the stigma of rough transition to 3d was because of Sonic 3d Blast
I think thats fair. With how popular it is it does make it hard at least in my opinion to just say your a fan of something. Cause now there has to be a differentiation of is someone a fan of the original or the remake. And then it also introduces people who dont understand or somtimes dont respect the silent agreement of trying to not spoil for others. The amount of people ive seen openly spoil games. Example being xenoblade that this happened with.
There is literally tons of jrpgs before persona 5 that if you strive to see everything you will be at that time played and then some. The worst offender of this is the original release of dragon quest 7. And mind these play times for a lot of these games can and will be influenced on how someone plays and what they know of it and wanna skip. So the claim that its not the norm is not true in istelf. Players should use the estimated time as a quick blurp of how much they can expect and not as a definitive statement of this is how much you will play.
@emilunagames Its almost as if fire emblem has been a series for which the longest time they have prioritized a long and fleshed out story. And they wanted to continue that with their newest entry as well.
Its not like it was new decision to make a long game...
@LaTaverneBibidi@BBwanny Yeah if had lets say a 5 to 10 second cool down then yeah. I say this much time cause it would still allow for somewhat quick communication but without the excessive use.
