If Sony insists on going all digital we need things to change. We need to own the download and they need to guarantee that any purchased download will always be available to download. Wheter it's still available for sale or not.

I mean, I can certainly see an eyebrow being raised at someone who plays just Candycrush, saying they're a gamer. Even then, it's like- sure, you're a Candycrush gamer. It's a type of game, it just isn't quite in line with what most immediately think of when we say "gamer."

@K__Med Actually watched a video covering some pretty decent reasoning for exclusives. While performance/cost should be a main driving factor in an ideal world, where game studios like making bangers, having an entire console depend on you making a good game is a good seller for quality

I think if anything, prices are being inflated (needlessly) by a very small percentage.

It is inevitable. And what's worse is it's going down when everything costs $650+ just to get the newer gen between Xbox/PS.
Then on top of that, they gotta start making these kinds of moves, as if the industry isn't bad enough for consumers. Waiting woulda been nice.

Despite the cost for discs, those savings won't be passed on to the consumer.

I would love for performance/cost to be the primary driver of consoles, but that's coming from me being used to AMD/Nvidia's battle strategies. Feels like more innovation that way, but competing in game quality is also solid.

Games will release in 2 years, and getting a code in a box is not a good compromise to a disc.
People can say "well most don't use physical as much" Ok..sure, no one benefits of losing the option, though.
