We haven't had a Carbon Tax in a long time, the sovereign wealth fund Canada is instituting is a direct way to invest in Canada.
Be mad at things that are real, there are many.
@owodre1 I don't know who you are but for some reason I am prime subbed to you on twitch. Either this is your doing (KYS) or you are a fucked up AI robot whose sole purpose in life is to fuck people over (KYS).
Either way, you are scum and should be fed a bread bowl till u die
@EckhartsLadder idk why ur getting snippy with me. I disagree that it was called a goal on the ice. I think any team who had to challenge there would have lost it.
@EckhartsLadder Nobody could say it did or didn't go in because it cant be seen. Its literally schrodingers puck. Whoever had the burden of proof would just lose the challenge.
@EckhartsLadder The issue is that the puck cant be seen crossing. It for sure went in, but there wasn't a good call on the ice until a ref halfway across the zone called it a goal. It went from them needing to challenge it was a goal to us saying it wasn't. Anyone who challenged would lose.
@TomDPearson@riv_rm14609@dee_of_e he's talking out of his ass. They weren't dispersed back into Lethbridge. They were sent back to Germany, some immigrated back on their own volition.
@DeMickyD they're remaking an Xbox 360 game. With more stuff, better lighting, less loading screens. Being mad at it is like being mad someone handed you a cookie.
@clowndollys@officialprairie@ghadussy Like "There is no Canadian culture" being tied to consumption I feel is this weird holier than thou stance that doesn't look at why the two cultures exist. They existed in tandem. And to be fair to myself I'm talking about both our cultures as an abstract idea, not just yours
@clowndollys@officialprairie@ghadussy I mean I apologize if that is how I'm coming across. I just think that its a tad hypocritical to say that Canadian culture is all consumerism based when it shares the same roots at Metis culture. Different experiences yes, but the inception of the two began with the fur trade
@officialprairie@ghadussy@clowndollys I think "builf off of" is the wrong phrasing in my part, because the Metis culture evolved past it.
But I think it definitely originated due to the Fur Trade, hence my argument that the Metis culture began with consumption
@officialprairie@ghadussy@clowndollys Sure there were Scottish Settlers that came with the Sellitk Grant, and the French for sure were a lot more willing to marry into the Indigenous tribes. But the French were there as Fur Traders and often their children worked in the Fur Trade.
@officialprairie@ghadussy@clowndollys I think I was definitely over simplifying. But I'd argue without the Fur Trade Metis people wouldn't exist as we know them.
@clowndollys@officialprairie@ghadussy I knew legally they were, I just assumed (Wrongly) that they distinguished themselves apart at least by name. Rather than being under the umbrella term of Indigenous they were a separate thing. Always happy to learn when I'm wrong.
@clowndollys@officialprairie@ghadussy Ahh okay, I was under the assumption that Mรฉtis people considered themselves something else (know I know different). In my mind that sort of disproves that "colonization โ culture". But again i would just genuinely like to know what the other person's thoughts are on this.
@clowndollys@officialprairie@ghadussy Okay, lets pump the snippy attitude. The Fur Trade is quintessential consumption, it employed almost every colonial person as well as hundreds of First Nations people. Just because I wanna know more about what they thought doesn't give you the right to get crotchety.
@officialprairie@ghadussy@clowndollys I think the idea that colonialism or consumption negates culture is untrue. Metis people have a vibrant culture built off the fur trade and colonial ties. How did your paper mention them? genuinely asking not being a dick, Im taking some Canadian history in University rn.
i knew i wasnt crazy in the car bro
that new baebadoobee/marias song is literally just snake eater, same key and chord structure, just retime a few vocals and its 1:1
did this sloppy in premier cause i dont have a daw but even then it lines up lmao
@KARK1TY@biggestgiy@korchyhawks its more the infantilization and "stan" culture being brought to the sports world. Also being a fan of more than one team just means you lack the conviction to all in on something. Which is fine it just means we care at different levels
