There’s a big difference between a baseball player and someone who *just* plays baseball.
For baseball players the game is an obsession. It’s something they can’t get enough of. It’s the driving force that fuels their days, even with things that have nothing to do with the game.
We want to wish Mountainwest Alumni players Tyler Sorenson, Camden Snarr, Jackson Kohler, Andrew Astin, Colton Carpenter and Griffey Larsen the best of luck as they head off to College of… https://t.co/aHK0cVsHNd
Championship teams that play at a higher level MUST HAVE PLAYER ACCOUNTABILITY, NOT JUST COACH ACCOUNTABILITY!!
Players must:
-Want structure & discipline
-Show up early & stay late
-Not accept laziness & bad attitudes
-Challenge each other
-Accept roles selflessly

Couldn't be more proud & honored to have gotten to coach these 5 kids for the last two years. Tons of adversity - tons of opportunities to overcome it! They played such a huge role in building our culture. 1 more win & our goal of getting into the state tourney is ours!! #finish
You should definitely yell instructions to your player throughout the game. You can’t get him to keep his room clean, do his homework or brush his teeth on the reg, but when it comes to baseball, I’m sure your words are gospel!
Timing is hitting. Great swing plane creates timing forgiveness. Solid sequence allows athletic adjustments. Mentality of a giant breeds competitive at bats.
Be on time. Be on plane. Be athletic. Be mentally tough!

Players: Ways to get noticed:
- Play Hard
- Help your team win
- Showcase what you can do
- Play w/ energy & purpose
- Talk, talk, talk
- Make open shots
- Lock up on D
- Lead the team
- Be coachable
- Have great body language
Players: How do you act when you come out? Do you walk to the bench or run? Do you sulk or high five teammates? Do you play hard? What is your body language when being coached? Are you an eye roller? Shoulder shrugger? Blamer? Excuse maker? Character & coachability go a long way.
Awesome getting to see @chandlera16 competing tonight for the @utahbaseball - 3 big hits and still finding that focal point between swings! I sure miss that dude swinging in the 3 hole for us!! Great character guy and an unbelievable player!
