Played our last tournament of the summer last week at the Road to the Beach National Championship in Destin, Florida. Although it didn’t end how we wanted it to, we still went 3-2 and had a really good time! My highlights are below!! @Wasco16ucl@WascoDiamonds
I love watching travel teams that can make the 8:00 am game feel like the 6:00 pm game. It’s just different when the whole team wants to be at the field- especially in late July when so many teams/players are burnt out.
It speaks volumes of the coaches in those programs.
One of the best kept secrets in development: learning by listening.
Listen to your coach instruct your teammates. Listen to your teammates. Listen to umps when they explain calls.
Bonus: listening is a tremendous skill to have in the real world & it takes practice to perfect!
Honored to have been named All Area Second Team! Thank you to all of my coaches that have continued to push me throughout the season. And a big congrats to my teammates and all of the other athletes that made it! @RHSAthletics234@JuraszCoach@Wasco16ucl@WascoDiamonds
Parents, I encourage you to be mindful of the way you speak w/ college coaches near you. Speaking disparagingly about coaches, opponents, other parents, etc. says a lot about your character.
If you don't care that a Coach hears you say these things, that's all we need to know.
Recruits, friendly reminder that you shouldn’t be afraid to fail! We want to know what your bounce back factor is, because perfection doesn’t exist. Watching you react to failure is often a big indicator of next level success. So go big & if you fall big then get up and go again!
“We (The Wasco Diamonds) like diversity in Sports”. It has never been said that you CAN NOT participate in another sport and be a “Diamond”. It has been said that we do not recommend that you play on 2 Club/Travel teams.

Nothing stands out more to me than an email from a recruit that talks about how the team did first then you as an individual second. If you don’t put the team first now, it won’t just happen when you get to college. It’s about the team, not you!
