Fifth grade band students had a special guest visit recently! Wasco Alum, Jack Druffel, shared his musical journey with violin and trumpet at Wasco school and is now based in Los Angeles, California and is a music composer for tv shows, movies, and video games!

Wasco is getting ready for March Book Madness! The kick off video will reveal the "Sweet 16" titles. It will be shown at every elementary school next Friday, Feb. 21. Principal Brennan recorded a read aloud (title hidden intentionally) and students filmed for the launch video.

2025 AISLE Voting......Monarch (K-3) and Bluestem (3-5) voting is underway this week in the LRC. Students who read multiple nominees are voting for their favorite during their class visit. AISLE will announce the winners in a few weeks!!! 📕🗳️🥰

Wasco School enjoyed a Townhall on the topic of Responsibility. As part of this community building event, students worked in small groups to accomplish a task and work together, responsibly. A fun time was had by all with lots of success on the task!🙌👍

Wasco students participated in Computer Science Education Week with an Hour of Code. All week, students learned the basics of computer coding with Mrs. Furlong in the LRC and spent time coding on their own. 👏💻

The ABC Challenge begins Tuesday, April 23! This is a way to continue to encourage and celebrate learning as we wrap our year up. Each day is a theme related to a letter of the alphabet. The theme may be an activity, a focus for the day, or a dress-up day. Participation optional.
