I was super disappointed in a particular campaign for the Senate election on campus. “Build the wall” as your campaign slogan is not only unoriginal as hell, but it’s disgusting. No wonder there is a massive under-representation in student gov for POC. Distasteful. #WUCanDoBetter
We just got finished talking about discrimination and the racial issues at Washburn. I then go and vote for student government and see that a senator is running on the platform of ‘build the wall’. #WUCanDoBetter

When Lincoln Hall first opened and we had that incident where some students were yelling build the wall and other derogatory terms directed at hispanics, a lot of my undocumented friends didnt attend school that whole week bcus they were scarred. #WUCanDoBetter
Lets also no forget when BSU did a flash mob in the union, and instead of it being a cute little show, the student body decided to taunt them and talk mad stuff, talking about “who opened the gates of the ferguson zoo” and calling them derogatory term as well. #WUCanDoBetter
