Why the selective outrage? Why are the champions of Sunday Market closure due to anti-drug rally silent today?
@sajadlone sb and Daraksha Andrabi ji do not get agitated when LG sahab gets the roads and markets closed but they are all fire when a national event (marathon) necessities market closure. Surely they are nobody's friends but of BJP.
P.S:> Massive rally on important causes such as the one held today or a national level marathon held in Nov 2025 make market closure inevitable. Unfortunately some people just know how to yap yap when it suits them.
During the 2019 Triple Talaq Bill vote in the Rajya Sabha, @jkpdp MPs Mir Mohammad Fayaz and Nazir Ahmad Laway on camera called the Bill as interference in Muslim personal law. However, when the contentious bill was put to vote, both Fayaz Mir and Nazir Laway abstained, helping the @BJP4India government pass the bill. Same playbook was repeated by the party in the recent RS polls in 2025.
Kashmiris should not be in any illusion about @jkpdp. They have always kept their political ambitions above the core interests of Kashmir and its people. They are never to be trusted.
Has the Honourable MLA Sahab spoken a word today as the Sunday Market remained closed? No, he hasn't. But he was quick to shame the elected government last year. Rebels on rent?
Honourable MP Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan reacts to Panchayat elections and statehood, stressing the need for democratic strengthening and restoration of rights in J&K.
Hon'ble Chief Minister @OmarAbdullah handed over appointment orders to 124 candidates from the Jammu Division under the Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme and SRO-43. His Advisor @nasirsogami was also present on the occasion.
These appointments are a step towards ensuring support, dignity, and stability in their lives during difficult times.
Mr Abdullah urged all the appointees to serve with dedication, integrity, and compassion, and to carry forward the legacy of service of their loved ones with commitment.

Members of Parliament from the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference in the Rajya Sabha,Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo and Shammi Oberoi today called on the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, and submitted a memorandum highlighting pressing issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir.
The Members strongly urged the early restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir in line with the assurances made on the floor of Parliament. They emphasized the need to protect land and job rights of the local population and called for a comprehensive economic and employment package to address the growing unemployment crisis among the youth.
The MPs also pressed for the return of major hydroelectric power projects presently operated by NHPC Limited to Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the region must receive a fair share of benefits from its own natural resources.
They further highlighted the serious environmental challenges facing the region, including the impact of climate change and the rapid retreat of glaciers such as the Kolahoi Glacier, and called for urgent scientific and policy interventions to safeguard the fragile Himalayan ecosystem.
Today many either do not know this or want the world to forget it.
When Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited the Pokhran test site on 20 May 1998, a week after the nuclear tests, Farooq Abdullah was among the few leaders with him.
I mentioned it becoz in last National Technology Day on 11 May 2025, I saw BJP leadership like Union Minister @KirenRijiju posted cropped version of this same image which excluded Farooq Abdullah from the frame. Whether that omission was deliberate or accidental, I do not know.
However, Vajpayee had also seen something else earlier. It was Farooq Abdullah’s forceful defence of India at the UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) in Geneva in 1994.
In 1993 UN Gen Assembly US President Clinton claimed Kashmir a 'dispute' & further added 'most dangerous place in the world.'
The Govt of India in response to US & Pak propaganda passed the Kashmir resolution on Feb 22 1994 “On behalf of the People of India, the Indian Parliament firmly declares that The State of Jammu & Kashmir has been, is and shall be an integral part of India…”
Within 5 days after Indian Parliament resolution, Pak tabled a resolution at UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva through OIC that condemned India for HR abuses in Kashmir.
If passed, the UN Security Council would have imposed economic sanctions on India & Kashmir internationalised..
PM Narasimha Rao took the matter into his own hands. Same month he formed team of delegates all carefully chosen to represent India.
The six member team of 4 Muslims, 1 Sikh and 1 Hindu.
The team was led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The other members :-
2. Farooq Abdullah
3. Salman Khurshid (then Minister of State for External Affairs)
4. E. Ahamed
5. Hamid Ansari
6. Manmohan Singh (then Finance Minister).
Here Farooq Abdullah's identity as a prominent Muslim leader from Kashmir helped India to present a united and credible Indian front in UNHRC Geneva.
He had given a tough time to the Pakistani side claiming to be Kashmiris. Famously he asked them
“Can you speak in Kashmiri?”
Through outreach to key countries like Iran & China, effective lobbying, India managed to persuade several nations to withdraw support for Pak resolution. Pak lost.
But Farooq Abdullah kept losing politically again and again. Basically Delhi lost him. He had been Chief Minister thrice, who’s been a Union Minister and who was promised Vice-Presidentship of India during Vajpayee Govt but the Delhi's political mood never favoured him.
Forget Vice-President or President l this 88 yr old leader has never even been awarded a Padma Shri. Least said about the treatment he received after the abrogation of Article 370, the better.
Politics, was never a Gentleman's game.
Strongly condemn the shocking firing incident near Royal Park, Greater Kailash, Jammu during a wedding function attended by Dr. Farooq Abdullah Sahib and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary Sahib. Such brazen acts of violence are utterly unacceptable.
I am relieved that Dr. Farooq Abdullah sahib and Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary sahib are safe.
I urge the authorities to conduct a swift, thorough and transparent investigation, uncover the roots of this incident and take the strongest possible action against those responsible.

Thank you Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan Sb for raising the vital issue of protecting the eco-sensitive Zabarwan mountain range in Parliament. The decision of the Central Reserve Police Force to drop the proposed base in the area is a welcome step, reflecting concern for the environment, wildlife, and the sentiments of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Now that the plan has been formally dropped, it brings relief to local residents and conservationists who had feared ecological damage and displacement. This development stands as a positive outcome of timely democratic intervention.
May Allah ( SWT) forgive our shortcomings, accept our sincere prayers and supplications and grant us the strength to remain steadfast in faith and righteousness. May every fast we observe and every dua we make draw us closer to His infinite mercy and compassion. Ramadan Mubarak!
#WATCH: MP Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan raised the important and pressing issue of unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir in the Rajya Sabha, highlighting that rising joblessness among educated youth is contributing to serious social evils, including drug addiction. He sought details from the Government on recent assessments, the current unemployment rate and urged the introduction of a special, region-specific employment package to generate sustainable opportunities for the youth and secure the region’s future.
Warm birthday wishes to you bhai! May Allah keep you in His protection, grant you peace and happiness & bless you with everything you aspire for.
