When Trudeau jr first got elected (majority) he was running Proportional Representation and weed.
Proportional Representation was quickly reneged on because it would have benefited under represented places and not the liberals.
I had been excited for the possibilities.
This leads me to believe there are some amount of the left and right open to things being changed in the Canadian political system.
A Independent Alberta would new create a new political system with the input of only Albertans for the benefit of Albertans.
Those very interesting conversations are happening now.
So for the Forever Canadians - Accept that things change and nothing last forever. (Scary I know)

I am so upset about this. You can't just change the rules as you like. The main difference here is that Alberta is a giver, Quebec is a taker. I used to joke that the rest of Canada should have voted and Quebec would be out. Today the rest of Canada would be crazy to oust Alberta
