Baba Reshi (Sheikh Shams-ud-Din Araqi) a revered Sufi saint from Iran settled in Kashmir, earning respect from both muslims and hindus. His shrines in Narwara Srinagar and Baba Reshi Gulmarg are the places where he meditated. During his meditation, it is believed that he calmed a venomous snake with prayer, symbolizing his spiritual power. His shrine's waters in Gulmarg are believed to heal physical and spiritual ailments. He held secret gatherings imparting divine wisdom.
