We have had a few folks call into our County Communications Center today stating that they are receiving a phone call from a Deputy Walker or Lt. Walker from the Watauga County Sheriff's Office.
We DO NOT have a Lt. Walker or a Deputy Walker that works for us.
Boone Fire is going to close Deerfield Rd for a bit near Pine Valley to get a tractor trailer moving again. Should be only briefly as they get him untangled.
Watauga schools look to be on 2 hr delay tomorrow. Pay attention as that can change quickly, especially since cold front passing through near midnight.
