@AlistairCarns Not our war, not our friends. War was always going to change as technology changes. The less expensive more accurate will be the future.
@MarkOrmrod All comments at present highlight something that can be found in nearly all jobs or walks of life, but training knowing that you ultimately are likely to be putting your life ahead of others and knowing you may die for your job. I know most services have this as well.
@CalvinBailey@Cobseo The fact you are engaging with COBSEO already outlines that you are deemed to failure. The covenant is a failure and continues to fail those most desperately in need. The OP’s that have been created need to be scrapped and proper support put in place.
@AlistairCarns@ancientanmodern Great piece of A.I. sadly if yourself or another Labour MP or a general election is called this country is up the creek. It’s not that what you’re saying is wrong it’s just that you can’t fix a country that doesn’t know itself, its place or its people.
@AlistairCarns What the question should be is how we remove a Labour government that is not working or fit for purpose as no one within it has the experience or knowledge of the subjects they have been put in charge of.
@CalvinBailey Reality is you’re still a Labour MP and will most likely be out at next election. The Covenant is a massive failure and shouldn’t be pushed further as it either duplicates or is misused by those who think they have some kind of power.
@AlistairCarns Trying to engage people now and make yourself look more human is not going to change the fact that you joined politics in a labour campaign that was pretty much a guarantee as everyone had enough of the conservatives. You failed the veteran community by not understanding it.
@AlistairCarns But you’ll still keep your role as an MP. Making a stand now does not change the fact you chose to be part of the Labour Party and under the direction of Keir Starmer possibly the worst PM in history. You will always have that to come to terms with.
@jeremycorbyn It great to have all those things you say, but who is going to protect them when the other nations come knocking. Drones are now a real threat to the U.K. any sea based assault or land invasion also. What’s our first line of defence? The imaginable!
@LibertyLydia He may have served but not sure about the SBS story, it may need checking, don’t trust everything everyone says unless they can provide proof of service.
@AlistairCarns That’s the wrong approach. Won’t probably cover NI, HR costs and once timeframe runs out the young are back in the same position. Do you or your party really want to make a change?
@AlistairCarns Al, you’ve lost your credibility with most veterans, not just because of this message but for so many other reasons. You could have been excellent. But your desire for recognition and relevance is obvious.
