my immediate takeaway from Disclosure Day is that it’s in more interesting and direct conversation with Minority Report and The Fabelmans than it is with Close Encounters of the Third Kind. and also that Emily Blunt is very good at acting. two takeaways I guess.

🚨 B-B-B-BONUS episode of the pod. Since it’s #spookyseason, @TwoHeadedBoy98 and @TotesChris talk about their favorite horror films of the year so far, what scary movies they’re looking forward to the rest of the year and what’s the deal with Halloween 3?

The movie Barbarian bowled me over. Go and see it as soon as you can. Don’t read up on it ahead of time. Just know it’s likely the gnarliest new horror film you’ll see this year.
Movies new to me in 2022:
1. ‘The Tragedy of Macbeth’
(Dir. Joel Coen, 2021)
Near the end of the movie, I could hear one of the people closest to me chuckle through their mask and say: “Ha, the Coen Brothers.”

150. ‘The Matrix: Resurrections’
(Dir. Lana Wachowski)
A romance movie smuggled into sci-fi action and blunt force surveying of where we’re at

122. ‘Halloween Kills’
(Dir. David Gordon Green)
He’s constructed hell and forced everyone to live in it with him.
