Congrats to all the departments who were honored!
@Georgia_AG The nonsense goes both ways but you only comment on it one way… for instance. Still no action on our complaint against @CobbSchools for breaking Open Government laws
When your school district has nearly $3B in tax 💵💰💲and wants to build an unnecessary $50m event center AND has schools in need of serious repairs.

@RebeccaGaunt There’s no reason taxpayers & parents should be learning about the name of the co. or how much has been spent from a news article. Many asked the question. The supt. refused to answer. But a reporter can look on LinkedIn and get a little info from the district? #wedeservebetter
@GwinnettSchools How great that you are asking for student and stakeholder feedback! Our district has a history of suppressing and ignoring our opinions and concerns. @RebeccaGaunt Gaunt
Attended a school board candidates' forum last night—3 GOP candidates didn’t show. Transparency and engagement came up repeatedly. @cobbschools has denied both for years. That’s why we filed a complaint with the AG. It’s time to hold them accountable! #Transparency
Watchdog group "Watching the Funds" requested an investigation of the Cobb County School District's handling of open records requests #Cobbschools#CobbCounty#transparency

We're asking the GA Attorney General to:
INVESTIGATE these violations of Open Records & Open Meetings Acts IMPLEMENT corrective measures PROVIDE training & enforce ongoing oversight
CCSD needs to understand: Transparency isn’t optional—it’s the law! #Accountability#Transparency
@LisaforGeorgia Thank you for supporting Laura. She has been a valuable part of our team. We miss her and her leadership aa she works hard to earn votes but look forward her partnership when she wins 💚💚
In short, the school district’s own decisions left the court with no choice but to reject their appeal, highlighting the costly mistakes and miscalculations that have left taxpayers with a $1.8 million bill. #thisiscobb Meanwhile…
So, @CobbSchools appeal was DISMISSED by the 11th Circuit Court The court's opinion was clear: the Cobb County School District had no business appealing the case because they had already asked to be dismissed and were granted that dismissal.
Despite this, they continued to make legal missteps by trying to participate as a nonparty. The court emphasized that their actions—participating only as an amicus and not as a party—failed to meet the legal requirements for standing, leading the court to dismiss their appeal.
