@Mrsspoon22 I won’t argue against you on this. I agree. But the stoppage was the correct call according to the rules. But even after this the young man had his chances, as he himself said. He has been a model citizen throughout this, btw. Penn State should be very proud of him.
So in college wrestling a takedown in OT ends the match. The ref called a takedown and stopped the match, which is the correct procedure according to the rules. It’s challenged and overturned. Therefore everyone did their jobs exactly as they were required to under the rules.
