A SLAPP you need to know about: 14 U.S. states have intervened to do the bidding of the fossil fuel company Energy Transfer and are SLAPPing an Indigenous Nation, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, in order to silence them. #stopSLAPPs#NoDAPL

Colonialism and rampant capitalism are at the root of today’s #LAfires crisis. While change in nature is a constant, climate change is not natural. Climate disruption is driven by corporate greed and fanned by the fossil fuel industry, that puts profits over people and planet. 🧵
In our first Protect the Protest coalition Member Spotlight 🔦 @WaterIsLifeWPLC's Natali Segovia & Nizhoni Begay discuss their org's origins defending Water Protectors, ETP vs. @greenpeaceusa, & what gives them hope in the fight to #stopSLAPPs.

As Energy Transfer continues to pursue their baseless $300 million lawsuit against @greenpeaceusa, are they more focused on silencing critics than they are on ensuring the safety of our communities? #stopSLAPPs#WeWillNotBeSilenced

We will continue to support Mr. Peltier in securing the freedom. Our commitment to stand by him remains unwavering. We are committed to working with his many attorneys and other grassroots organizations to challenge this decision and work towards his release.
Political Prisoner #LeonardPeltier has been denied parole.
Mr. Peltier is the longest-serving political prisoner in United States history. Despite his innocence, Leonard Peltier is still serving time in a maximum security prison nearly five decades later.
We won't stop fighting. We ask all our relatives to keep Mr. Peltier and all those involved in his parole hearing in your prayers. Mr. Peltier deserves to spend his elder years with his family and with his community.
An update from Jessica & her ask for support from all of you:
"Hello Good People of the World,
First, I want to thank you for all your prayers, love and support. I feel you all close to me in heart and mind on a daily basis...
Our work in environmental law and our representation of Water Protectors highlight the symbiotic relationship between Indigenous communities and Mother Earth.
