"Children being independent from young age will bring out great results on their life.. and by the looks of it your not completely neglecting them either! So its a win win!"
"Let me guess.. it was Leyney..?"
It didnt take Furina long to follow the Knave into the large kitchen.. she saw children runnimg around giving each other insturctions and helping each other aswell.. it was kinda cute and wholesome..
"Well I do have to agree on that one —>"
“Amazingly the only one who almost set the house on fire was one of three much older children—well technically he was seventeen at the time. I have long taught the children proper safety and when we host the barbecues it is they who delight in preparing the food,”
The Knave —
"They might cut their finger or mess up the kitchen? Or even worse set the whole house of fire! I mean.. I don't wanna sound mean but their still little kids after all.."
*Wait.. was the Knave giving Furina her backstory? Oh wait.. nevermind.. Furins didn't pressure further.. she could feel and see in her eyes that it was a topic she didn't wanna talk.. the topic was changed quite quickly!*
"Oh wait— is that so? Well aren't you abit afraid —>
"Apologizes... when I as a child in the Old House of the Hearth under the former Knave. I learned to be silent like that to avoid..."
Her voice trailed off, her gaze casted away. She cleared her throat.
"--Never mind. Anyway, it's likely the children realized they hadn't any--
"They showed me around and everything and I.. understand ehe— their all little and innocent so its understandable their excitment when they see a new person.. it just means more friends for them!"
"Well a scary one for that matter!"
Furina quickly composes herself.. watching kids run from the room one by one.. strange I wonder why are they going to the kitchen.. eh whatever their children, maybe they want a snack or something..
"Oh uh.. no they have all behaved well! —>
"AH— OH GOD— its just you.. STOP SNEAKING UP ON ME LIKE THAT—"
The sudden appearence of Knave shocked Furina.. well more like scared her but whatever..
"Ah yeah.. the little ones told me how you took them in.. honestly its really sweet of you to not leave them on the street.."
had all been saved by 'Father' when they were in bad situations.
"All the children are orphans that I took in,"
The Knave always seemed to appear without a prior sound despite her wearing those sharp heels.
The one thing Furina noticed about these children was.. they were well behaved... way too well in fact.. its.. nice but at the same time given most of them looked no more than 10 years old it was shocking news.. Furina followed the little ones around the hotel —>
In a delighted unison, the children all spoke.
'Yes Father!'
Before the Knave nodded and walked off. The children of varying ages would then actively take and show Furina around, avoiding one room which perhaps was the Knave's own quarters.
Wait.. so like this.. was a place where Knave lived? Of course it is.. your asking stupid questions this late.. well it is disrespectful to refuse this type of offer so you better get the courage to say yes!
"U-uh... y-yeah sure! I'm okay with kids!"
“That’s not what my son said and they know better than to lie,”
She shrugged.
“If you wish to come in you may do so, just know that the children may drag you around excitedly,”
Arlecchino turned and walked back inside leaving the door open if Furina was to take the offer.
the voice of Knave shivered down her spine.. she wasn't expecting to be caught in the worst moment.. possibly a that little one told the Knave about Furina coming here.. nevertheless she was caught and nervous more than anything..
"Ehe I-I uh.. was just passing through!"
"Did you honestly follow me home?"
Arlecchino's voice came from the now open door with the boy from before beside her. The kid gave Furina a little wave before he'd go back inside.
