π’ Join us for the webinar "Crowdsourcing for Flood Risk Management: Harnessing Community Data and Local Knowledge".
π§ Effective flood risk management depends on timely and accurate information. In some countries, observation networks are scarce.
But did you know that everyone can contribute to data collection using simple tools such as smartphones, social media, or drones?π²
This webinar will explore how crowdsourcing can strengthen #FloodResilience by linking community-driven data with institutional systems.
At World Water Week 2025, the Water Youth Network (WYN) was proud to have our member, Apoorv Nandwana, serve as a Young Scientific Programme Committee member and contribute to the seminar topic βWaterβs Role in Decarbonizing Global Energy Systemsβ.
By bridging disciplines and acting as cross-sector facilitators, youth bring innovative ideas to the forefront and help drive water resilience. He shared examples of how, when given decision-making power and flexibility, young people can generate impactful ideas and solutions.
Following two days of intense discussions at the UNGA Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue for the 2026 UN Water Conference, the @WaterYouthNet in its role as the SDG 6 Youth Constituency of @UNMGCY β hosted a Caucus Meeting Debrief to reflect, regroup and plan ahead.
The meeting also marked the beginning of the next phase of youth coordination, with plans for collective mobilization ahead of two key milestones: the UN Water Conference 2026 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and the Preparatory Meeting in Dakar, Senegal, in January 2026.
