I've seen quite a few discussions in the @SuiDevelopers community about the updated #Overflow2026 judging criteria, so I wanted to share some context.
Engineering excellence remains the foundation. It always will.
But building a successful product takes more than great code.
We should ask questions like:
• Is the technology innovative and well engineered?
• Is the team capable of executing on its vision?
• Is there a credible path from prototype to users?
• Can this become a sustainable product or business?
None of these dimensions alone are enough.
The most impactful products are usually built when all four come together.
