Flowers in the spring,
The cuckoo in summer,
And the crimson leaves of autumn."

Comfort on difficult days,
smiles when sadness intrudes . . .
confidence for when you doubt,
courage to know yourself,
patience to accept the truth,
love to complete your life.

~ R. W. Emerson, “This Is My Wish for You”

What do you suppose they are talking about?

[Sam Cannon Art @SamCannonArt]

I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.
A magical thing
And sweet to remember.
"We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September,"
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.
Oliver Herford.

Solstice blessings to you all.
