Over the last 4 weeks our staff CPD has focused on Trauma Informed practice delivered by the fantastic Jane Pepa & in partnership with @MerseysideVrp We’re already seeing a difference in our actions & thinking #safety #connection #managingemotions

Set aside the Leeds Liverpool canal we are lucky to have this on our doorstep. Our staff are trained as paddle sport instructors enabling us to seize these opportunities for our students to connect with nature 🍃slide along to see the wildlife we saw today @CanalRiverTrust

The interactive session involved our students having the opportunity to use the bleed control packs to stop the bleed on a dummy (1 of only a handful in the country)

Emily stopped the bleed in record time ever known in 38 seconds!!!
