Huge thanks to everyone who came along to support the re-opening of our #WW2 display. The WW2 room was opened by a Captain Mainwaring character actor, + a display of jeeps & WW2 ambulance. #Volunteers from #RotherwasTogether and Home Front history enthusiasts added to the day

Looking forward to being part of #Hereford#History Day at the Town Hall on Saturday 21st September. Our #volunteers will be there to talk about the history of the Museum and the story of how clean drinking water was brought to Hereford.

Believed to have been made in Yorkshire, this well-finished single-cylinder horizontal #steam engine, made for educational use, was donated by the University of Sussex, Brighton, Department of Engineering. The make is unknown.

On Sunday 11th August, our second anniversary celebration this year, The Right Worshipful, The Mayor of #Hereford, Councillor Kevin Tillett led the celebratory opening of the Brockhampton Set display and unveiled a plaque to commemorate our 50th Anniversary year.

Waterworks Museum Celebrates 50th Anniversary.
On Sunday 26th May The Right Worshipful, Mayor of Hereford, Councillor Kevin Tillett "opened" the magnificent Victorian building & working engines. Richard Curtis, former Museum Chairman, officially opened the Sisson Engine display
