i don’t think a single person out there asked for dislikes to be removed. this was obviously just done to protect corporations and low quality channels
SONY POSTS A GAME. THE REPLIES SAY - DISCS.
open the playstation account right now. almost every post runs the same:
- a promo goes up - a sale, a new game, the monthly lineup
- the replies fill with one word: discs
- half the posts get slapped with a community note
- the disc announcement is still wearing one, two weeks later
nobody's talking about the games. they're talking about the one thing sony refuses to address.
according to moore's law is dead, citing an anonymous source, some studios pay sony thousands to lock a specific posting slot on these accounts. right now, if true, that money buys one thing: a megaphone pointed into a wall of disc anger.
one dev quoted in the report said they'd be "very upset with sony" if this hit during their own launch. mlid's worst case: gta 6 promo tweets landing in this in november.
the heat cooled a bit since week one, but it hasn't stopped. "no disc, no buy" is still under almost every post, and the petition just crossed 325,000 signatures.
sony bet everyone would forget.
the replies are still keeping score.
Some education / updates time about the @PlayStation situation.
Sony stock was worth $30
As of right now their stock is worth $20
To put in perspective, Sony is projected to lose more money, if they lose $5 more, they lose 50% of their highest value in history. Go broke @Sony
And @PlayStation wants us to believe "the consumer doesnt want physical games anymore" what a joke lmao
Love to see the support for physical releases 🙏
Sony released a new Wolverine trailer on their official PlayStation YouTube channel and every single comment is either about buying the game physically or expressing frustration over Sony's decision.
