@DPJHodges Interesting-many commentators on the right are now seeking to shore up Starmer. The tone has softened and become sympathetic. Douglas Murray writes in today's Spectator 'Hang on, Sir Keir' and warns that 'things can only get worse'. Charles Moore offers Starmer strategic advice.

When simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth.

@RestIsPolitics That The Sun's political editor said just after the debate that the release of a poll was 'imminent'. The poll result was, strangely, not released until today- too late for the newspapers. It showed Starmer won by 20% of the vote.
