If we were to compare a company to the ecosystem of the human body:
Business would be the brain, Technology the heart,
Experience design the mind. #ux#design#designthinking#productdesign
“To the the extent that the business takes place in software, designing the software is designing the business. Designers either need to participate in defining the business model or they will simply be its tool.” — @mulegirl https://t.co/NB6O2U9IgE
Still true, people will pay more, even for an inferior product or service, when they feel like they are being treated well. #cx#ux#strategy https://t.co/S7mdTSn6UF
Ugh.
This article on how MSFT used “analytics” to understand employee satisfaction (https://t.co/KwAeFhOjdz) shows the lengths companies will go to to not just talk and directly observe people. 8-12 interviews would have revealed all they learned through studying "data exhaust."
Future companies will be led by designers. Ford is one of the few major industrial companies in the U.S. to put a UX guru in charge. #ux#designthinking#design https://t.co/4HBlVWa06T
If I said it a billion times it will never be enough:
The user experience doesn’t end at the edges of the screen. Therefore a UX designer’s job & a UX researcher’s job shouldn’t be limited to what happens on screen, it should take in the entire context & any touchpoints involved.
