The Chinese government is literally extending its police state into democracies. By setting up illegal police stations around the world.
The CCP uses these stations as part of its transnational repression operations, to suppress criticism even overseas. They are also running a campaign against the women with SafeGuard Defenders that did this research. Using fake porn etc. to harass her.
China is trying to influence state and local governments.
Our upcoming hearing will look at the CCP's United Front work and its attempts to influence communities across America.

The CCP is always trying to divide Americans, so it’s no surprise individuals in China tried to create more division using the real, genuine debate in America over data centers. By prompting ChatGPT in Chinese to create English-language content, these individuals were operating accounts to influence online debates, shape American technology policy, and pit us against each other. The Select Committee will continue to investigate the CCP’s malign influence and its attempts to influence our free and open society. https://t.co/I0QJtbrd1O
This week, Chairman @RepMoolenaar and @RepStefanik sent a letter to @SecWar to tighten the screws on Chinese military companies, calling on @DeptofWar to strictly enforce a restriction against U.S. defense contractors working with firms that are lobbying for companies designated on the Pentagon's updated 1260H list.
Our defense industrial base exists to protect and advance America’s national security and interests. The message to lobbyists should be clear: if you choose to represent a Chinese military company, you have no place in our nation’s defense ecosystem.
It is just common sense to avoid doing business with military companies from a hostile, adversarial nation that will turn around and use that capital to threaten American interests. The CCP's angry reaction to the updated list of blacklisted Chinese companies confirms what we already know. China's commitment to military-civil fusion is growing, and its tech products are never benign. American companies should stop working with these Chinese military companies.https://t.co/v5tQibYlRA
