This #Mayday I’d like to thank Darryl, my local postie, for all the work he does for our local community. Let’s celebrate all workers who are risking their lives to get us through this crisis.
I nominate @Keir_Starmer @tmbc_leader and @DavePrentis to #ThankAWorker
Key workers, like Cheryl, are the backbone of our country - they make it something to be proud of. When we’re clapping later, let’s remember we need to listen to them, pay them properly and protect them. #ClapForKeyWorkers
Our posties are on the front line of this crisis, putting themselves at risk to keep our country going. From everyone at @UKLabour, thank you for everything you’re doing. #PostalWorkersDay
Deaths in care homes "appear to have been rising", while deaths in hospitals decrease, says Labour leader Keir Starmer

The public have made great sacrifices to make lockdown work. They deserve to be part of an adult conversation about what comes next.
We are engaging constructively to protect our country and, to that end, I offer a series of considerations for the Prime Minister in my letter.
Next Tuesday marks International Workers’ Memorial Day.
Please join us in honouring the memory of those brave workers we have lost to coronavirus by observing a minute’s silence at 11am.
Together, we will remember them. #IWMD20
I can tell you from the front line that care workers are scared.
Whether PPE shortages are due to capacity or incompetence, the buck stops with @MattHancock.
The government has been slow to lockdown, slow to order PPE, slow to test. We need you to keep us safe.

We’re very proud to announce Doreen Lawrence as our Race Relations Adviser. Doreen is one of the UK’s foremost campaigners for equality and justice. Today, she's joining Keir and Marsha de Cordova to kick off Labour’s review into the impact of #coronavirus on BAME communities.
There is a pattern emerging here.
We were slow into lockdown, slow on testing, slow on protective equipment and now are slow to take up these offers from British firms. #PMQs
As we mark Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, we mourn the murder of six million European Jews.
Even though the circumstances preclude us from marking Yom HaShoah together, we nevertheless stand united in our commemoration. Never again.
Working with the East Suffolk Communities Team, this non political group has provided invaluable help to those in need at this very difficult time #SupportingLowestoft https://t.co/Sgid3sydz8
NHS staff, carers and other key workers are being put in harm's way. To save lives, we need a proper plan to get this equipment to the frontline now. #coronavirus
#Coronavirus is causing serious financial hardship for many people. We support the Government’s emergency social security measures so far but we have to make protections stronger to protect people and our economy.

Such sad news. A 28 year old pregnant NHS nurse has died, though baby saved by c-section.
My office wrote to government on 1st April asking that expectant mums in NHS are shielded/ considered as vulnerable. The email never even got a reply.
Shameful

Anti Semitism has no place in our party. But it seems when black members and MPs call out racism in the Party, not only are they questioned and second guessed, they’re it insulted by own staff as well. Huh, who’d have guessed it? @DawnButlerBrent had a point, as evidenced here.
