🎮 1v1 Super Smash Bros Tournament at the Library! 🏆

Calling all Smash Bros fans! Get ready to battle it out at our upcoming tournament during the holiday break.

Nova Luna is a simple-to-learn board game with a lovely puzzle feel. Players take turns building their board, earning points for completing certain patterns.

Author & Illustrator Don Tate is coming to WPL on December 13th.

He will talk about his illustrative processes for Duke Ellington's Nutcracker Suite. The event will also consist of ornament decorating, an instrument petting zoo, and treats to share!

Randall Schroeder will be discussing the mural that is located in the Post Office building. It was painted by Mildred Pelzer, a student of Grant Wood. He'll speak about Pelzer's life and work.

An official ribbon-cutting will take place at 10am, after which time we will encourage everyone to tour the facility and see all the wonderful improvements.

We have been having so much fun at Music Storytime!

However, this Thursday (11/7) it will not be held: Miss Emily and Mr. Trevor will be meeting with other youth librarians across the state to prepare for next year's summer programs!

Our Library Friends group will be helping with the 506 Café in November. When you order a fantastic meal (for only $10!), the Friends receive funding for library programs. Amazing!

Our final summer programs last week were magical! We had a great time watching and learning magic tricks, followed by hands-on science stations the next day. Stay tuned for some final statistics on all the reading and fun we had together this summer!
