So...the Ontario government is saying they'll bring back a mask mandate IF hospital capacity is "threatened".
But pediatric ICU beds are full. Surgeries are being canceled. And pediatric capacity is being expanded by 50% just to cope.
We're past the point of "threatened".
Can someone please explain to me what it would take for Ontario to bring back indoor mask mandates? Aren’t the cancelled surgeries enough? Aren’t the record high wait times in ERs enough? Aren’t the overwhelmed children’s hospitals enough?
Isn't all of this suffering...enough?
This is the most thorough and accurate depiction of our failing healthcare system. It’s told thru the lens of @alandrummond2 who has been witness to it all and also an amazing advocate along the way.
Now it’s time for our govts to step up https://t.co/7WpNfCkaIk
If you can’t find liquid Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Advil/Motrin (ibuprofen):
1. Many pharmacies are compounding these. Call around.
2. Weigh your child. Use measured & cut portions of chewable or adult versions:
- Tylenol: 15 mg/kg every 4h
- Advil/Motrin: 10 mg/kg every 6h
FACT: A significant proportion of hospitalized patients who no longer require hospital care but cannot go home safely, have a life expectancy of less than 90 days.
Now, do you see why the Ontario government's plan to send these “ALC” patients to far away LTC homes is just cruel?
Can we stop the myth that abortion is universally traumatizing? I had abortion. The only traumatic thing about it was dealing with protestors outside Planned Parenthood. I have no regrets. I needed no therapy. Residency & med school were far more traumatic than my abortion.
I'm sorry but if you actually appreciate the sacrifices that Ontario's nurses made during COVID, you will NOT vote for a party that has shown time & time again, even while in power during COVID, that they don’t care about nurses. You just won't. #onpoli
There is something severely wrong with a society that continues to force People with Disabilities to survive on ODSP rates that are so low (so low, that it's basically legislated poverty). Every party has a responsibility to raise ODSP rates...Just. Do. It. #LeadersDebate#onpoli
On #WorldFamilyDoctorDay let's shine a spotlight on the vital role and outstanding contributions of Ontario’s family doctors. Thank you for your ongoing dedication and commitment to making the health and wellbeing of your patients and communities better. #OnHealth
