Ruto just spent 40 minutes trying to create a false equivalence between our national values set out in the constitution and his so called “development”. Kenyans, please trust me when i tell you there is a reason the Preamble comes before Article 43. You don’t get to the “development “ clauses until and unless you have taken into account the reasons we passed this constitution in the first place. Democracy, Human Rights, Freedom, Equality, Rule of Law and Social Justice.
Welcome home, Governor Irungu Kang'ata, where you belong.
Today at Wamunyoro Residence, I was pleased to receive my younger brother, Governor Irungu Kang'ata, Governor of Murang'a County, as a member of our party, DCP, the party of the moment and the future.
Since its inception, the DCP Party has grown into a strong national party with millions of followers and thousands of prospective aspirants ahead of the 10th August 2027 polls.
We now have a Member of the National Assembly and three Members of the County Assemblies from across the Country, reflecting the face of Kenya. As we prepare for the next General Election, we are determined to be the majority party in both Houses and the majority across County Assemblies.
With me to welcome Governor Kang'ata were the party's Secretary-General designate, Senator John Methu; DCP National Organizing Secretary Senator Mithika Linturi, Murang'a Senator Joe Nyutu; Kirinyaga Senator John Kinyua; Laikipia Senator John Kinyua; Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango; and Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thangw'a.

Congratulations, Hon. Sammy Douglas Kamau Waweru, on your historic election as the Member of Parliament for OlKalou Constituency.
You have won by a resounding margin, reflecting the unmistakable voice of the people.
We thank the Almighty God for this great victory.
To the great people of OlKalou, thank you for giving our party, DCP, its first Member of the National Assembly.
Thank you, my great people, for refusing to sell your birthright and for being wise enough not to fall for the deception of development projects.
Thank you a million times for guarding your vote and for standing firm despite the actions of rogue police officers armed with guns and tear gas.
Once again, I am grateful to the people of Olkalou for accepting to add me an extra solider to join the great army that I lead in Defence of Kenyans. I have been strugglling with 18 soilders but with great results; now I have 19, things will be much better.
On behalf of our community and the people of Kenya, kindly accept my heartfelt appreciation for restoring the dignity of our community and our nation.
I feel proud and elated to be the leader of such patriotic people who remain loyal to their rights and dignity.
I salute our campaign leaders, Hon. John Methu Gitungati and Hon. Wanjiku Muhia Ngatha, for their outstanding leadership and guidance throughout the three-month campaign. I was deeply impressed by the way you organized and led us.
To our allied Senators, Members of the National Assembly, MCAs, campaign teams, aspirants, volunteers, our staff, thank you for your unwavering commitment and sacrifice.
Tomorrow morning, I will visit all the five wards to personally thank the people of OlKalou.
