🇨🇳 Lysoar speaks at the post-match press conference following XLG's elimination:
Q: The result may not have been what you hoped for. What do you think caused your performance to fall short of expectations?
Lysoar: I think there were some areas where we could have handled things better, and some small details we could have done better. Of course, our opponents also played very well. Throughout the matches, we kept trying and working hard to win.
Q: You've played for many teams and attended many international events. What felt different about Champions Shanghai this time?
Lysoar: I felt very honored to be able to play at a Champions event at home. Of course, all the brothers on our team also gave everything they had and wanted to perform even better. It's a little unfortunate that things didn't go the way we wanted. We really wanted to do better here at home and make another breakthrough, so it's really unfortunate because I really wanted to put on a better performance here in Shanghai.
Q: What special meaning does this XLG team, from the players and coaches to the staff behind the scenes, have to you?
Lysoar: These guys are honestly a really great group of brothers. Being on this team has been a very special experience. We all knew that this was the final tournament of the year. Everyone wanted to do better and show an even better performance than we normally do in competition. I think I'll remember them for a long time. Honestly, I'm very happy that I was able to be with them and fight alongside them. Maybe five or ten years from now, when I look back on this memory, even though the way it ended wasn't quite what we wanted, I'll still remember the time we spent fighting side by side.
Q: Is there anything you'd like to say to the audience?
Lysoar: I'm really grateful to everyone for your support. I hope I can do better next time. Our journey this year may really be over now, but as a player, I won't give up.
From the beginning, I felt that although this journey was difficult, we still gave it everything we had and didn't really think about anything else. We just wanted to take it step by step, first make it out of the group stage, and win every match we possibly could.
And thank you to everyone who has always supported me. I can feel how much everyone cares, and I'm very grateful that everyone continues to follow the competition. As a player, I'll keep working hard to learn and improve, improve my mechanical and tactical skills, and become more and more confident. I hope that next time, I can perform better than I did this time.
