Governor Sherrill and Passaic County leaders have taken steps to safeguard residents’ constitutional rights. Now it is up to us in Wayne to do the same.
Let us stand up for our neighbors and ensure Wayne remains a place where everyone feels safe and respected.
Wayne is the town my husband Charles and I chose to raise our daughters in because it is a community that values dignity, safety, and respect for everyone who calls it home.
That is why I strongly support the petition urging Mayor Vergano and the Wayne Town Council to pass a resolution protecting our schools, parks, municipal buildings, and all town-owned facilities from ICE actions unless a valid judicial warrant is presented.
To every volunteer and supporter who showed up and believed in this campaign: thank you. This movement doesn’t end here – and our fight to lower costs, protect health care, defend democracy, and keep communities safe continues.
From train stations and diners in Wayne, to coffee shops and doors in Morristown, to amazing conversations across SOMA—the energy today is unreal.
We’re out until the polls close. Go make your voice heard!

With less than 24 hours until Election
Day, we’re everywhere, train stations, diners,
doorsteps, and on the phones, making sure every voter
knows what’s at stake. My team and I are working
nonstop to spread the word about the only candidate
in this race who has taken on Trump and won.

New Jersey, Election Day is TOMORROW. I’m the only candidate in this race who has taken on Donald Trump and won — and I’ll bring that same fight to Congress. The stakes are too high to sit this one out. Make a plan, vote, and let’s win!
This Black History Month, I’m reflecting on the generations of Black Americans who fought to expand our civil liberties and secure the right to vote. We honor that legacy by refusing to stay silent and making our voices heard—because our families deserve safety, opportunity, and joy.
Today in Montclair, I joined our community in sending a strong message: ICE must be abolished. New Jersey families deserve to live without fear. Grateful to stand with neighbors and friends against Trump’s chaos and violence.
As your Secretary of State, I implemented Early In-Person voting here in New Jersey. Now that I'm on the ballot I'm out knocking doors to ask all of NJ-11 to go to the polls TODAY until 6pm and vote at any Early Voting location in your county!
Jean Wilson Brutus should still be alive. His loved ones deserve transparency and justice. We must abolish ICE and end its deadly policies NOW.

The news coming out of Georgia is alarming. Trump must stop using scare tactics & intimidation to attack anyone and everyone. This is a dangerous abuse of power meant to undermine our democracy. I have always stood up to Trump's intimidation. We must stay strong.
We must take action to stop ICE's campaign of terror in our neighborhoods and across the country NOW. As I told the New York Times: "People not only see what’s going on nationally in Minnesota — they’re living in fear as to what is happening on the ground here in New Jersey.”

On this International Holocaust Remembrance Day, let us work together with determination and urgency to fight antisemitism. It is our duty to educate others, hold fast to history, and speak without equivocation: Never Again.
This morning at a diner in Wayne, voters told me what they want most: leaders who show up and actually fight for healthcare. I know this fight personally. At 19, I survived a brain hemorrhage, and my insurance didn’t cover the recovery I needed. I had to teach myself how to read again. That’s why I’ve expanded access to care and biomarker testing — and why in Congress I’ll fight every day so no one is ever left behind.
Donald Trump has turned our country into a war zone.
This isn’t law enforcement — it’s chaos driven by a president who thrives on fear, escalation, and abuse of power.

Former Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way released the following statement on today’s killing in Minnesota:
“President Trump has turned our country into a war zone. His administration has unleashed ICE as a reckless, violent force that is making Minnesota less safe and putting innocent lives at risk. This isn’t law enforcement — it’s chaos driven by a president who thrives on fear, escalation, and abuse of power.
To President Trump and the Republicans in Congress who have stood silent: stop ICE now. Not another dollar should be appropriated to fund this militia-style operation that has made us less safe, not more. We must defund and dismantle the tactics that have led to death and chaos in the streets. The President must immediately end this operation and withdraw these violent, untrained officers from Minnesota and every community they are terrorizing. Our country has had it.”
