there’s been a lot of negativity lately regarding pro wrestling. i get it. pro wrestling has always been covered in controversy and the business has carny roots. having said that, there is so much positivity that happens in pro wrestling all the time but it’s never covered. so let me talk about the positives I saw this weekend working for Live Pro Wrestling in Iowa. i saw an independent company with a roster full of men and women who are passionate about pro wrestling. i saw a company full of people who regard their peers and the fans that come to the shows as family. i saw fans who attended these shows to forget about their difficulties at home(divorce, health issues, etc.) i saw a community of people who came together because of their love of pro wrestling and found community they could rely on in their most difficult of times.
there will always be negative stories in pro wrestling but there are just as many positive stories. those are the stories i love. watching wrestling pull people together instead of pulling them apart. this industry is beautiful and it’s been a part of me for all of my adult life. i will fight for it and protect it at all costs.
i love y’all.
