Inspiring day in Cheshire with @RotaryGBI national youth awards for Young Citizen, Musician and Chef. Such amazing talent already making a difference in their communities and across the world. There is much to be proud of and look forward to (honest)!
@oldfarmhorace@richarddigard@Govgg Sadly, one of a long list of expensive reports with clear recommendations, but minimal follow up. Some action on the £100k KPMG housing report may have improved the current crisis?
Highly recommend this role. I’ve found my time as a trustee very satisfying and, with a great team already in place, it’s an ideal time to be helping it go to the next level of impact. Take a look.

🚨How worried should @RachelReevesMP be about rising bond yields?
😨How worried should the rest of us be?
😱And is this a repeat of 2022 (or even worse)?
After all, UK 30yr govt bond yields are now at the HIGHEST level in more than a quarter century.

@oldfarmhorace@JayneOzanne@The_IoD Vast majority of charities here are ‘small, intimate’. Agree perception of ‘charitable volunteers’ not being bookkeepers, but treasurers, secretaries, chairs are the most needed. Hence trying to explain the need etc. Biggest hurdles, our changed lifestyles & perceived bureaucracy
@oldfarmhorace@JayneOzanne@The_IoD Some elements of that, but our trend appears to be worse than the UK, where they would be greater. We also have a higher proportion of skilled administrators etc. which could provide more volunteers in those roles. Vast majority of our charities have no staff, so not ‘corporate’

A great evening with the four inspiring @youngenterprise Guernsey area finalists from the original eleven teams. Congratulations to Expi-mental, the outstanding winners.
@mattscout@KensingtonRoyal@DianaAward A keen eye as always Matt 😉 Was a great evening celebrating the amazing achievements of 20 young adults and 25 years of the charity it’s a privilege to chair 🙏
Had a great morning catching up with friends from Girlguiding Guernsey & their visitors including @GillSlocombe one of the Chief Guides I enjoyed working & Mary Grant, Bailiwick Commissioner when I held the same role locally and equally enjoyed working with. Great memories.
A brilliant morning with our member Girlguiding Guernsey at their roadshow with @GirlguidingSWE team & Ambassador Mandy Hickson whose story of becoming an RAF pilot was entertaining & motivational. Great to hear local experiences too, through local and off island adventures
Delighted to be in Oxford today with fellow trustees Fahan and Dan to help kick off a staff residential for the inspiring @DianaAward team; after sharing our own reflections we joined the discussions and reflections from staff teams. So much to celebrate 😇
